Die Oxforder Band Low Island veröffentlichen mit „Don’t Let The Light“ eine Electronummer, die sowohl für Tanz- als auch für Fußballschuhe geeignet ist.
„Don’t Let The Light In“ fand seinen Ursprung bereits vor drei Jahren. Als der Lockdown-Schock in Frühjahr diesen Jahres durch Frankreich ging, waren Low Island gerade dabei, den Song endlich zu vollenden. Wenige Monate landete der Track auf dem FIFA 2021-Soundtrack – ein Medium, dass seit Jahren große Hits hervorbringt. Zum Song selbst erzählt Sänger Carlos Posada:
It’s a song about trying to preserve the moment of falling in love, but ultimately being unable to fell quite deeply in love with someone who didn’t love me back, and it set off a pattern that continually repeated itself; a flying start and then an abrupt ending, as if someone had just switched off a light with no explanation. This song is about trying and failing to capture that initial moment in time; of pressing pause and holding the frame before it falls apart.
