Mit „Summer Longing“ veröffentlicht der in Island lebende Franzose Antsy seinen nächsten Track nach „Leave Me Alone“ und „Leaving This Town“.
Über den Track sagt Antsy selber:
„Summer Longing is the first song that I wrote when I moved to Iceland in January 2021, in the middle of stormy winter in many ways.I wrote it on an acoustic guitar and a drum machine that were the only instruments that I had at the time.
I didn’t have anything to record, so the first demos were recorded with my phone, using headphones as speakers for the drum machine.
I was renting a small room in a guesthouse, so I couldn’t sing or play too loudly, which actually gave this kind of dreamy and naive atmosphere to the song from the beginning. The synthesizers of the current version came much later, but I always tried to keep the original atmosphere and the body of the song didn’t change much from the first demos back in the guesthouse.“
„Summer Longing“ ist Antsy’s dritte Single nach dem Cover von „Leave Me Alone“ von New Order, das im letzten Januar veröffentlicht wurde, und dem Post-Punk-meets-Twin-Peaks „Leaving This Town“, das im letzten März veröffentlicht wurde.
